Your Professional Manuscript Review Includes:
- Genre-Specific Advice: You can be sure that your

critic will review your writing to point out common grammatical, structural
and stylistic mistakes—mistakes that can mean the difference between a
rejection and a sale.

recommendations for marketing your work-including how to identify the
publications that buy your writing.
Novel & Nonfiction Books
$150 (minimum) up to 20,000 words plus $10 for each additional 1,000 words (or
fraction thereof).
Novels or Nonfiction Book Outline With Sample Chapters
$125 (minimum) up to five pages, double-spaced outline and sample chapters up to
12,000 words. $10 each additional 1,000 words (or fraction thereof).
$46 two-page single-spaced query letter sent with outline/sample chapters.
Specialty Books*/Picture Books
$45 for picture books (up to 1,500 words). $125 (minimum) for others up to 8,000
words plus $10 for each additional 1,000 words (or fraction thereof).
*Specialty Books include—but are not limited to—cookbooks, illustrated technical
manuals, and "coffee table" books.
Query Letters
$45 magazine article query letter of no more than two single-spaced pages. $75
book query, to include two page, single-spaced letter and summary of book
content in no more than five double-spaced pages.
Articles/Short Stories
$45 (minimum) up to 3,000 words plus $10 for each additional 1,000 words (or
fraction thereof).
Poetry
$25 (minimum) up to 16 lines plus $1.00 for each additional line.
Play/Screenplay/Television Script
$175 (minimum) up to 100 properly formatted pages. $225 for 101-150 pages. $345
for 151-200 pages, plus $10 each additional page.
Resumes
Most resumes should be one page, but many are
not. We will charge by the word, and amount of time it needs to be
completed. For an estimate please tell us your general expertise and
experience,
and someone will contact you.
(Word counts and rates apply to each manuscript. Several short manuscripts
cannot be combined for the minimum rate.)

Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for the evaluation of shorter manuscripts and up
to eight weeks for books and novels.
